I find it difficult to believe that a machine that is capable of running those OS's would be old enough to not have a BIOS that allowed you to set the CDROM drive in the boot priority. My advice would be to sniff around the mobo manufaturer site, see if there is a BIOS upgrade and, if so, flash your BIOS.
