Need to vent... For the past few days my Adelphia connection has been annoyingly slow. All I can basically do is use Trillian and play Diablo II. I had to check my email today at work because hotmail wouldn't even load. Other pages take at least 5 minutes. Whether it's happening on their end or mine, I'm not certain. I turned off my PC and reset the modem and checked all the cables. All seems to be in order. I looked at some of the suggestions posted and I'll try those tonight to see if that helps.

As to their support, I called them twice and 50% of the time they were actually able to help. The second time, I was directed to an engineer and he even had problems. He didn't really help much but somehow it got fixed. *shrugs* At least they try...

Adelphia has a monopoly on cable connection up here. I've considered switching to Verizon DSL (another monopoly), but figure it's just not worth it especially since that means I would have to sign up for long distance as well.
