Hmmm, Adelphia is a newcomer in the broadband field, so I guess they're on the wrong track if their tech support is as sloppy as it is.
I'd recommend switching to another broadband provider, but if there is no one else in your area, you're unfortunately stuck with them. My own provider (AT&T Broadband) has dismal tech support most of the time, but they're not as sloppy as Adelphia, from your example...
