Cox and the Fun I had
I had dialup for 10 years.. just got Cable.. it's not bad.. get horendus lag at night on CS.. but that's the downside of cable..
as for customer service.. I don't like Cox Cable's Customer Service..
Called up to see why I couldn't get into my e-mail.. thought maybe the password was wrong or something.. the guy does the screen share thing.. asks me what's going on.. tell him I can't get in the mail.. and I don't want to use outlook because I don't really like it.. he goes and open outlook and starts to set it up.. I disconnect his screen sharing and curse him.. then my phone rings.. it's the tech.. asks what happened.. I told him I don't want outlook.. he goes into a 10 min speech about how outlook is the only way Cox allows you to get e-mail and that the web-mail option only retrives mail from your computer to that it has downloaded from cox. I tell him he is wrong and that Outlook is a retrival program that uses the pop3 and so on.. and that he needs to go to school.. he goes and checks it out.. and you can get your mail via webmail and you do NOT have to use outlook.. then he asks me to try there "default" password to try to get into my mail.. and it works..
so.. in the end.. they had not set my password up nor told me that I needed to change it from the default..
just hate stupid tech support..
BTW.. for just surfing.. uploading web sites.. so on.. Cox is great.. just don't ask for tech support..
