Action against email spam
Ok lately I have been getting spam email from the "Opt-In Network" 3 times in the past 2 days I clicked the link to "opt-out" and the page said I was immedietly removed from the list. Well, obviously if I had to do so 3 times, this is not true. So I then chose their second option, reply to the email, with "remove" in the subject field. I did so, along with a message within the email stating possible legal action if the mailing continued. I just checked my email again, and have recieved another spam email from this network. Their final way to opt out, is to send them a letter through US mail. I dont want to wait for a letter to get there, I dont want to pay for postage. I should have been removed days ago from their list. Hell, if not for sneaky companys selling email addresses, I shouldnt be on the list in the first place. So, i clearly chose to opt out. I clearly sent an email telling them to take me off their list and send me no further email. They didnt give a message saying "it will take x amount of hours" (which it shouldnt take anyway) So I want to know where I can report this, and how to go about taking action against it. Any help appreciated. I mean, I am assuming it is just like phone solicitors. Once you tell them to take you off their list, if they call then you have a case. Am I right?
