Tell me if I am right Laggy.....but you must be running two UBB forums here.......

1. For the forum (forumcgi)
2. For the Faqs/Files (faqcgi}

I may be wrong.....It took a little bit of time to notice that. THat is how your able to keep the Whats New, OTS Guides, And Reviews upgating thierselves. Using the active topic cgi. Under different names.

Which I see the advantages of it. And since one can only be posted in by certain ppl. You really don't have to fool with the control panel much. Except for permission settings.

Am I right. Or totally wrong.

Well, first of all you were correct - I am running UBB in two different locations - one for discussions and one for resources. This allows better consolidation of posts and entries. However, both UBBs are using the same Member database, otherwise they are two different things, each with their different control panels.

I just customized each of them differently so that they can meet their specific purposes while still staying consistent with each other. And I guess it's pretty effective http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
