I love this Perl script! There are so many ways to customize it and hack it to suit your needs, and it can do some other functions that no other forum script can actually do (big example is the slashubb mod, which acts like a very nifty news script!).
When I decided to change the layout of the forums, I thought I would just be rehashing the same script hacks I used on the UBB script. Was I wrong.
For you guys who are currently using UBB forums in your pages, or planning to use one, you should check these sites out:
http://www.ubbdev.com
http://www.ubbhackers.com
I found tons of useful hacks and mods to the UBB script, and most of them are already in effect in the new layout (by the way, this new layout for OTS.Net was inspired by the layout of www.ubbdev.com (http://www.ubbdev.com) - they had a very clean layout, so I just copied it and made it even cleaner).
Anyway, this is one of the best Perl scripts I have ever had the chance of using. For more information on what this Perl script can do, check out it out here (http://www.infopop.com/services_ubb/services_ubb.html). You can try out a freeware version (http://www.infopop.com/services_ubb/services_ubb_free.html) of this UBB - crippled but easy to solve by using the mods in the two sites I mentioned earlier.
For those of you who have their own websites and have access to a cgi-bin, this Perl script is a must-try http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
