BRUSSELS/LONDON (Reuters) - European antitrust regulators next week will fine Japanese video game maker Nintendo and a number of its distributors for sales practices it employed in the mid-1990s, EU Commission sources told Reuters.

The size of the fine could not be confirmed. A spokesman for Nintendo of America confirmed that Nintendo had already set aside funds to deal with the fine.

ROFL, I remember reading something about this on Madonion. It said that game prices in europe should be lower, they are selling them for too high.
Big Joke if you ask me. If anyone is paying too much, its Cananda. $50 for a game is reasonable, especially when it costs Millions of dollars to make.

"accused in 2000 of collaborating with distributors to limit cross-border flow of its products in an effort to raise wholesale prices. "
"Nintendo has cooperated with the EU from the outset of the investigation, which dates back to 1995. "
note that the prices arent even of interest, and the violations occured 10 years ago.

Not sure what you are smoking, but they are the same price if you factor in exchange rate.
