Wussup? Finally got a name for my site. System Overload. Check it out and http://systemoverload.cjb.net
I wanted your supperb opinion laggy. I change the text color but I think it might need another change. And I got all the pages working except the forums. Also read the first page. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif I put some stuff about OTS. Which I believe this site is really worth it.
And I also wanted you to know that I really apperiate all the feedback I get from you and everyone here. And that even though I ask alot of questions. About this and that. I think it's looks pretty good...Just change the color of the main links from bright green to something else that is not bright, it has a bad contrast with the background and other text. Also, line up the Links and Site Map to each other on each side of the page, otherwise, good job http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

Thumbs up for a great start on that site, and all of us here at OTS appreciate the thing you wrote about OTS.Net inspiring the creation of your site.
Design feedback? Okay, here goes:
1.) Darken the background just a little.
2.) Try to do a simple header image with your site's name on it.
3.) Use bullets or lists for the menubars instead of hyphens.
4.) Incorporate a simple Flash-powered splash page if you can...
Here's one important tip I can share with you - try to simplify your goals for the site at first so you won't get overwhelmed. Being ambitious is great, but try to make it simple at first and then add upon your site as your knowledge and awareness grows.
You page shows a lot of potential, not because of the way it looks (which is pretty good), but because of its attempted scope. If you can pull it off, then I salute you and welcome you to the wonderful world of information dissemination.
Just remember this:

You can also do the fixed background by creating a stylesheet. And linking it to your header. They aslo help with maniaging the page.

Well I fixed the Bg and made it darker looks alot better now. The text does not blend in with the bg as it once did. WOW!!!!! http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/biggrin.gif

I haven't checked the site (on account that I am in fact a lazy bastard), but I'm sure it's l33t.
Any reccomendations on a URL? I'm looking to get idi-ocy.com or whatever .org BS I'l have to settle for, but I want a good service for it.
I already have the free service I like, I had a url in plan but the thing hasn't panned out yet so I'm looking for other ways.
If it doesn't involve me shelling out $$, the better
