Video screens

hi all
well i need to make screenshots of some DAT files which play as video files but upon pasting them to paint , photodraw etc , the image is totally black how can i made it possible to take screens from these video files help???

Have you installed the proper device drivers?

I think I know what you are experiancing it happens to me when i take screenshots from d2.

You cannot take screenshots from vid files. I never had a use for it so I dunno how you do that.

Doesn't Paint Shop Pro allow you to take screenshots from videos?... I'm pretty sure there are a few programs that do...

Best bet would be to use a DVD/VCD player with frame/video capture capability...
