Not sure if this question is for hardware or software, but my mouse buttons never work in games. I have a Logitech MX500 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&CRID=3&CONTENTID=4998&countryid=19&languageid=1) mouse that has "eight" buttons. I knew before I bought the mouse that not all the buttons would work in games, but even the mouse wheel is not an option.
I made a feable attempt to go in the mouse properties and chamge the key or action of the mouse buttons to what they would be in the game.
It seems strange that even the mouse wheel dosn't work; stance up stance down would be nice.
Any ideas on what I could do?

Not all games support multi-button mice, as you know. Quite a few games don't even support the mouse wheel -- there's simply nothing in the game that's programmed to use the mouse wheel. Within some games, however, you can go into the game option and set the mouse wheel to do game functions. It all depends on the game, though. What games specifically are you trying?

Specifically Raven Sheild. It has an option for you to use the mouse wheel and the third mouse button (wheel pressed in). The buttons have never worked in any game. Also when ever I hit the buttons on the mouse I can see a visial representation of what they do in windows through the game (meaning that when I hit the scroll button the windows scroll arrows show through the game). It's like the buttons never come out of windows.
