Didn't feel it was such a big deal, but being the first DVD announced by Lucasfilm Ltd, I decided to post this.
Yep, you heard right - Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace is gonna come out on DVD this October. It's gonna be a hefty package - 480 minutes worth, with a chockful of features and the first Star Wars film to come out on digital format (if you don't count laser discs).
Forget that the movie itself wasn't as good as the first three SW movies... this is still a milestone and a must-have if you own a DVD player. Check out the full details here (http://www.starwars.com/episode-i/news/2001/06/news20010619.html).
Now if they will just release Episode IV to VI on DVD, as well as the Indiana Jones trilogy, I'll be one happy puppy!
