Yesterday I noticed that when I opened IE it would take several minutes just to scroll down a page, not to mention I could type faster than my browser could read and I was unable to close any of my windows.
I did a search for any possible virus' and on completion of an online scan using housecall, I discovered that I had JS Noclose. I did some research and believe that it is a trojan.
I followed every remove instruction I could find which basically consisted of delete the trojan and then empty all cache.
Despite all of my efforts IE is still messed up. So I downloaded mozilla.
I would still like to use IE... I was hoping someone could help me out.
I don't know if the trojan is actually gone or if it is just hiding. I am not really that good with computers so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use Windows ME or XP? If so, make sure you follow the instructions here before deleting the virus:

http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm

Otherwise, your computer will "helpfully" reload the virus.

Done, but nothing changed.

The "virus" is probably in your temporary internet files. Delete them and all offline content when prompted. In IE>tools menu>internet options>general tab>delete files>all offline content (yes)>okay>okay.
