Could not reconnect network drives error in windows xp

I can't seem to get rid of the "could not connect to network drivers" error in windows xp. The original mapped drive that it is looking for has been removed. I should have unmapped the drive before I got rid of the mapped drive. It's too late now. What I need to know is if there is some way to get rid of the error? Is there a location in windows that stores the mapped drives assignments? I would really appreciate the help.
