Since I upgraded to XP, I'm unable to play MIDI files in Internet Explorer. This is the error message I get:
--------------------------------------------------------
You have encountered the following error while using Windows Media Player:
------------------------------------------------------------
Error# C00D11BA
Sorry, no more help is available for this problem at this time.
-------------------------------------------------------
I proceeded to go to the Microsoft site and downloaded the latest WMP, which is version 9. I still get the same error message when I try to listen to a MIDI file from the Web. I AM able to listen to them if I use WinAmp, and also listen to mp3's without problem.
I'm at a total loss as to what could be wrong. I know my sound device is working fine since the music sounds great, except for this one problem. I'm trying to add a MIDI file to a webpage and it keeps popping up that error message.
Any help is truly appreciated.
