Looking for an effective popup blocker that does not require checking off every screen to access
my business data program. Do you have any suggestions? Using 'jimmysurf" at the present time.

Panicware pop-up stopper works well.

I use EMS free surfer mk2. It was recommended to me by Tecil, one of the moderators here. Blocks almost everything and it's free. No hassles to check off everything either.

Use MyIE2 (www.myie2.com) as your browser instead. It has the browsing speed of IE and has a build-in hassle-free pop-up blocker.

Try the google bar. It's missed one pop up in the last month, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Running XP with Office XP 2002, Norton Systemworks & Personal Firewall. ISP is currently MSN. Firewall's normal website popup blocking seems to work well. Was having problems getting many nuisance IM (Instant Messanger/system message) type popups, unique IM problem I think for XP users (can't recall where I got that idea), some selling pop-up blocker software and some selling adult materials. A month ago tried using Symantec (Norton) customer support site tech article/instructions to enter new/additional popup blocking rule into firewall rules, didn't work. A week ago, deleted that original rule I had entered, re-entered rule per Symantec instructions, haven't had a single IM type pop-up since - hallaluya! Never had to check off screens whatever that means.
