Please help if you can. I have been all over trying to resolve this issue. Whenever I try to insert a photo into a document, this could be in powerpoint, outlook, or any office xp pro program, I get the error "microsoft has encountered a problem and has to shut down....." on further inspection, I find this info regarding the problem "appname:winword.exe modname:comctl32.dll, modname:comctl32.dll, offset: 0005e95e".
I have loaded all available updates, unistalled and reinstalled office xp (this does not occure with office 200 premium) and tried every possible combination of solutions short of whistling dixie in my underware with carrots in my ears, but still have not found the fix!
Knowledge base article number 321841 eludes to my problem but only suggest that I update to the latest release, which I have.
