Oh man.

Shark180.

I remember that guy.

Oh, and hey, Matt? We know you don't work for Blizzard or Battle.net. Around here, please don't act like you do. ;)

1. You cannot work for Battle.net, since it is a server, not a company.
2. This is how I act when giving support, etc. If you think that that means I am trying to look like I work for blizzard, that is your opinion, and a wrong opinion, might I add.

BTW: USEast has many, many tech support crews/teams. A lot of them participate here, and hate me :D

There only seems to be one active uswest tech team, besides the blizzard tech crew, and we go by the Xtreme OTS Team, aka USWest Tech Crew since we are like...the only one.

why are you uswest exclussively? the only way your "tech support" would be uswest specific was if you had direct access to the server functions other wise it would just be battle.net in general.

having a name like that segregates you from any other-server user during a help finding session. its only forseeable benefit would seem to be to confuse people into thinking you had a more specific, and hence, direct involvement with battle.net.

the tech crew for the uswest of battle.net. how else could i understand your sig?

These two sites have nothing to do with each other. No relation.

1. You know exactly what he meant.
2. Each opinion is his own, In MY opinion you are acting like a f***ing moron, and when you come to a site called "OTS" and call yourself the "Xtreme OTS Team" and then complain about it, if you actually had a f***ing thought in your head, you MIGHT have seen that would have cause confusion.
3. YOU are not the only Tech support team for Blizzard. In fact, there are many more than just YOU, many more better. So if YOU stopped being so centered in YOUR server, and looked at the rest of B.net you might actually see some others. Get the picture?

Sure is a good thing chaosisreality restated all of our points combined into one list, with the added bonus of vulgar wording and insults. Because the first time wasn't efficent enough.

Why thank you 9:35, but I was irritated and needed to vent it at an imbecile. My boss just layed off our entire division today. It sucks.

Hey hey hey, if the guy wants to help in his own way, let him ... we need more active tech support reps, regardless of whether they act in an unofficial capacity or not. If the site wants to help people in a particular realm, then I don't see any problem with that.

Open Tech Support (this site) has stopped being a Blizzard-exclusive site for two years now. There is no competition. The "USWest OTS Team" isn't competition, the same way we don't consider our friends over at TheHelper.Net (http://www.thehelper.net) to be competition - and it's a slightly older site than OTS.net to boot. We're all on the same team here, so there's no need to get territorial about it.

What matters is that the time is spent helping people rather than just promoting a site or waving credentials, real or not.

For the record, there is NO USEast tech support team ... not one that I know of, anyway ... so I dunno about the "many many tech support crew/teams" Matt.M is talking about ... this site is welcome to all bnet realms, and frankly speaking, catering only to one particular realm is pretty short-sighted. Tech Support isn't given in chunks, slices or partitions. You either try to help everyone to the best of your abilities, or you don't help at all... simple as that. But again, it's your choice on how your site/forum achieves its goal, so good luck with it.

The titles you use under your name ARE deceiving of course, and I'm sure you are aware of that, Matt.M. Perhaps it is your intention to do so, but it is none of our business. I just hope that the support given through your site is as official looking as your title, hehe :)

Anyway, let's stop the feeding frenzy in this topic ... the guy wants to promote his site, and he hasn't flamed anyone in doing it .. let's give him the same courtesy by not being so territorial about it.
