Everytime COD crashes after a couple of minutes. it causes a complete system hangup. I heard it had something to do with RADEON cards but according to the readme it should be supported.

important Specs:
AMD XP 2600+
ASUS A7V600 ( VIA KT600 )
Corsair 512 mb ddr pc-3200
Club3d ATI Radeon 9600 Pro ( driver: catalyst 3.7 )
WinXP Pro
DirectX 9.0b

I have heard that it's a particular driver version that causes the crashes, and that it has to do with using antialiasing and anisotropic filtering. Try turning both of those off, see if that helps. Otherwise, you might want to try different driver versions.

follow the steps until it clears up:

turn off fast write

then use bilinear filtering

then turn off vpu recovery

then clock your card to normal if you overclocked.

Fast write was already turned off and i used billinear filtering so that can not be the problem. i guess it has something to do with the compatibillity of COD with RADEON cards.

Fast write is already of
Im using bilinear filtering
I turned of VPU recovery
My card is not OC'ed

I did these things already yesterday but it does not work at all.
I changed my Anti-alias and anisotropical filtering settings but still no succes

well youve tried everything then, i guess you should wait for the patch, but a complete system hangup is not the common desriptor of this bug. maybe try an older driver version since youve tried all the current ones.

I syill have the same problem. I recently bought a new nForce2 Ultra 400 mobo because of the instabile 8x agp signal with VIA and ATI combined. I hoped this would solve my CoD problem too. But no, the issue persist. Tried practicly everything but cant get it to work and i cant get anything usefull out of activision :(

Are you all having this problem with only COD? Because my computer is doing the same, however it does it in every program that uses Direct3D, and still does it after reformatting the system and mixing and maching drivers.

The fix didn't fix my problem.

Problem still isn't solved.

Activision customer support didn't know what to tell me after about 30 emails with them.

They told me to print out my emails and see if they would let me return the game. They didn't..at both places..so I have 2 copies of COD and it doesn't even run on my computer...what a waste of money...im not buying activision anymore
