Halo PC ran great now I have 1 problem

This really isn't a life or death situation I can still play the game but I'm curious if anyone knows whats going on here. When I play halo and use the sniper rifle and use the night vision the scope view goes black and I can't see anything.
My rig as follows for reference purposes.

sounds to me like something is messed up with the game. I would back up my saved games and reinstall it.

Theres a patch for the game out, if I'm not mistaken.

Turn the brightness on the monitor.

If that was the problem I wouldn't be able to see anything

if you look back in the archives to about when the game first came out on pc you'll most likely find your answer, sure i read something about that in here if not use microsofts game help, theres something in there i'm sure.
