I wonder if anyone could help please, my son has Medieval Total War installed on his PC, but it freezes to a black screen at start-up. The system is an Athlon 1.4 with 256 meg. RAM, the graphics card is a Geforce 4-MX440 with 64 meg. onboard, the soundcard is a Soundblaster CT4810 (PCI 128), all are up to date driver wise and would seem to be fairly "standard" for a mid-end PC which should be sufficient to run this game? or not? Any and all suggestions warmly welcomed. The game did run until I swapped his CD-ROM for a CD-Rewriter and a separate DVD player - both set as "slaves", perhaps related?
