GTA3 and refresh rates?

Hi, i've had GTA3 for quite a while now, no problems, then i installed RealGTA3 last night. Still no problems, went bed bed, school, then i went to play it again and it's like GTA3's refresh rate went through the roof. Look you's should know what it looks like when you change the monitors refresh rate above what it can do, well, that's what GTA3 looks like right now, not as bad, but bad. I thought it might just be the menu's and stuff, but no, it was in the game too, like it was like there were three fuzzy screens.

I re-installed to see if it was RealGTA, but it still did it, re-installed again and didn't install the patch, still no go, checked the other games i have, they're fine, re-installed my video card driver, still nothing and i check dxdiag and no error's were reported.

Any help we be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What resolution are you playing at? If you can get in to change it try lowering it a bit unless you're playing at 800x600. In that case I can't think of any why it'd just be effected in the game.
