d2sfx.mpq ERROR

hi !
"This application has encountered a critical error :
The file data is corrupt.
Program : F:\...\game.exe
File : d2sfx.mpq"
THIS is the error message i recived every time i try to play Diablo 2 LoD with patch 1.10 ...
ich could join a game, but sometimes (for example very often in act 4) it crashes and says this message above.
I BOUGHT D2 and now i want to PLAY !
So what the **** is going on here ? If i recopy the d2sfx.mpq file from my cd d2 wont work anymore !!!! Error with my cdkey during installation or somethink like that is then the error message!
reinstalling ? DOES NOT help !!
SO please help me and if you couldnt, then give me an blizzard email-support-address or something.
and one thing else : i am NOT english so pls write your answers in EASY english =)

I am having the same problem.

first of all, d2 runs better in its default location, so if you can install it on the c:\ please do so. If not, then try a COMPLETE uninstall, including registry entries, and reinstall the program AND direct x. Blizzard has a complete walkthrough on this page:

Try that first, and if it doesn't work, come back and I'll try to think of something else.
