I have had this problem for sometime now, and i can't figure out what to do. here it is. When i start a game, ( usually a first person shooter, like unreal 2 and Halo and Return of the king) the game loads fine. The cursor that is used when ur not in game the white little arrow one, appears in the game, and the game arrow usually something different the the default cursor arrow, is along side the desktop cursor. this lags the game considerably. if i try to swing the cursor from one side of the screen to the other it will go about half way then pause for a second then keep going, you can see why this is a problem. I wasn't sure if it was a driver related issue. i bought a ATI radeon 9000 pro 128MB and that runs the games nicely on my 1.5gig, i am running XP with 512 Ram if that helps. So i tried to install new drivers for the card and it did nothing to fix the problem, i am at a loss for what to do now. Plz help if you can, i would like that a lot

I'd try ctrl+alt+del and close unnecessary processes and applications. When your cursor deal happens, try alt+tab and make sure it's the active program. If your mouse came with a driver CD or something, make sure you have them installed. If nothing else avails, perhaps try running an Ad-Aware scan. It could be pop ups or something in the background. Make sure there's no instant messengers or anything going. Of course (I'm sure you've already done this), be sure to have the latest patches for your games. That's about all I can think up right now that could be causing it (it is nearly 2 in the morning, what am I doing on here?). If nothing works, someone else can probably conjure up something I missed or I may think up something else.

Thx i will try that, but i don't think it has anything to do with the mouse driver, but ya never know. where is the ad-aware scan?

video card doesnt support hardware cursors, yours should though. driver related

An Ad Aware scan could never hurt (if you've never run one before, you may find a performance increase if nothing else). You can find it here... http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
