About two months ago I bought Stronghold Warchest.Of course after practicing in solo play I craved on-line gaming so I installed gamespy and registered an ad-based acct.
All was well and good for a week. Then my dialog box in the ready room and lobby ,where chat dialogs are located , dissappeared ,vanished just an empty hole where the text box should be.
I contacted gamespy tech support but even after multiple attempts they couldnt help.
I have tried
Unistalling and reinstalling gamespy program
Registering a different acct
Uninstalling and removing all traces of Stronghold and SH Crusader and gamespy from my machine I could find.Then reinstalling them all and no change.
I used my photo mngr. to look through the gamespy images and found a missing DAT. file the image of the green text box.Unfortunately it seems to be unrecoverable.The file is still on the list but cant be found.
Is there any way to patch it back in...? Or any other possible soutions!?
