battlefield 1942 problems

I'm having problems with BF1942 all of a sudden. When i go to play the game and click on the "internet games" button, my computer always locks up and i have no idea why. If you can help...thanks.

My computer specs:
2.8 ghz pentium 4
1 g ram
100 gb hd
128 mb radeon 9800

Mine did that for a while. I reinstalled bf1942 and then reapplyed the patches and it works fine now.
You may even want to try an external server browser if it keeps giving you that problem. Personally, I like and use All Seeing Eye (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html).

yea, i had to reinstall it multiple times and do some other little things and it finally started working again.

I've seen that problem before too i think it had something to do with my friends cd key got messed up. He reinstalled and it worked fine. If singleplayer works fine i'd say that's it. so just reinstall you should be fine
