View Full Version : Disabling drive checker in Windows XP home

Recently, for some unknown reason, whenever I boot Windows it is interrupted by the drive checker. I have used tools in Windows to determine that my drive is healthy and active. I can cancel the interruption, but want resolve the problem. Any help will be appreciated, Kendoe

if you mean scan disk, you can disable the scan on bootup through that program.

I think I know what you mean, that scan usually comes up when you have an inproper shutdown.....
The easiest thing you can try and do a System Restore to a date before that was taking place. But thats only possbile with XP
