Mozilla - Exporting emails

I got a new laptop and I'm wanting to transfer over 3000 emails via CD-RW from my desktop PC to my laptop, however everything I try will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas that can help me? Thank you!!

If you have XP/NT:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME HERE\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\4ptixm1j.slt\Mail

The folder names may not be exact (thats what they are for me), but the general idea should work. Copy all the files from that directory to that of your new mozilla mail folder

If you have win 9x, then find where the mozilla data is stored.

Do I put it in my laptop's mail folder itself or do I try and get the program to open the files?
