Blizzard says: disable sound card or use a waypoint, since the soundcard part didnt work, i think its pretty clear what to try now :)
here (http://www.battle.net/forums/support/posts/hd/85.shtml) is a link to the Blizzard solution.

I read this solution before, but i disabeled my soundcard and it didn't work and I've got no other waypoint:(

Any suggestions now?

I read something about the CD-Rom Drive. One is supposed to enable DMA or syncronic data transfer, but it didn't work either....

If it's asking things about the CD Drive, then your problem is that you didn't use the full install.
Fully install D2, and you can play the game without the CD.

If that doesn't work, then the problem is most likely lag or your ram. Get more ram, and get a better modem. :p

Hey man, what are you? Kind of idiot?
I never tried playing Diablo2: LOD over the Internet 'cause it isn't possible even offline!
My Pc runs on 256RAM, in my opinion enough to run
bugging Diablo2!!
But your idea with full install is good, thank you very much!!
SO, take my insult not serious I was a little @ rage!

The full install should help. If it doesn't, you may want to try an older detonator driver since you have a TNT 2 Pro card. Sometimes the older drivers work best with the older cards.

You can grab one of the older drivers here (http://www.apushardware.com/index.php?action=downloads). I recommend any official driver from the 5.xx or 6.xx series. WHQL certified drivers especially.

Post back and tell us how you're doing.

You don't have much memory. If you're running low, you should consider upgrading it or clearing some space.
The more memory you have, the better your comp runs. ^^

Oh, and to you last post calling me an idiot.... I might just be one, I have no idea what you were talking about.

He has more than enough memory for Windows 98. Win98 is not known for utilizing all available RAM.

Lag isn't his problem either. He said he's not even trying to play it on the internet, since it won't even work offline.
