very very slow speed

when i first got dsl i was happy, for modem connection took forever. Now it seems as though my connection as slowed to a snail's pace.

I also have too many "pop-ups" and am trying hard to find a free program to block them....any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are not using updated virus software, do a free online virus scan at Trend Micro's Site. (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

To stop the popups, try a different browser such as Mozilla Firebird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/) , which has a built-in popup blocker.

Netcape has a built-in pop-up blocker that works really well, and ofcourse netscape is free
