Would've wanted to try out UO, but I guess I'm a little too late, and with NWN coming out, I don't want start on a multiplayer game I can't play consistently (already tried Asheron's Call, but couldn't consistently play it so I just stopped)...

it does take a while to get a character high enough in skills to be playable. Nova was almost there when he quit. but im at that level with Barb Wire that is the equivelent of the time from 49 to 50 in Diablo. Ive also been busy with Jet gathering new screens for a big update to my website. now if i can just get at least 2 more loons to demonstrate their silliness in public... but ive got to ask a GM tonite if "fishing for loons" is legal in the non-pk world.

I quit 6 months ago, the game lost all appeal to a professional thief on the shard I played and the hassle of moving to a new one wasn't worth it.

My net connection at home cuts out about once every hour or two, and makes playing games like UO impossible. You remember how often I got killed cause I got disc'd janna. That's basically why I quit. I might have fun if my net connection worked properly, but I can't stand losing all my stuff like that. It sucks.

Think he plays both EQ and UO and maybe AO. Don't know if he still has it all or not. I gave it all to him over a year ago.

well nova if u decide to come back i can set ya up with anything ya need and show u how to get skills up a LOT faster than before. u can GM magic in less than a week now :)

I've never really seen the other side of UO, mostly just played my thief.

if I ever go back to it I'll probally go to whichever shard the most OTS people play on.

SG nah if u have the old UO it will just update to the current version but if u want the 3d lands which suck then u have to buy third dawn but i never go there waste of space it is.

personally i used to think the pay to play thing was bad but after playing UO for a long time and experiencing the lack of support i get with D2 D SC etc i dont mind paying a little bit to get support from a company. in UO if i have a problem in game i can hit help and within 5-15 minutes i get a response which is normally helpful and i dont have to repage a GM. the GM in UO keep morons out of the game for the most part and keep the game cheat free. osi is constantly expanding their service and constantly improving the game substantially. what u see on bnet is not what u get in UO....

what i meant was that i just dont have the money to do it..... any time i ever see money is my b-day or xmas.... i just dont have money to spend every month......
