Either a file in the .\Iosubsys is corrupt or the

with cd-rom and that has failed. I belive the file
C:Windows\System\Iosubsys is missing and I
can't figure out hhow to restore the file? HELP!

not being able to bood from the cd is a serious problem, and has nothing to do with whats going on with your hard drive. is your computer set to boot from the cd before the hard drive?

To:Booradley-Thanks. I boot from flooopy start up an then tried at the
promp A:\copy a:\*.*c:\windows\system\iosubsys (then enter) and I
get the reply ( File not found - a:\*.*c) 0 File(s) copied
This is why I think the file is missing! Any other Thoughts?--THANKS

the computer doesnt even look at your c drive until after your floppy and cd drive, if you have the bios configured properly. you have a completely seperate issue with the windows files. the main question is why cant you boot from the cd?
and put a space between the * and the c

Redwench. The space worked! and I loaded one file and after that restarted and I get the same problem as in post 1. Anyone have any
suggestions how I can get to a point where I can reload Windows?
THANKS
