Quick Launch Bar problem

After adding a few additional icons to the Quick Launch Bar I would resize it so that all the icons are visible and then re-lock. The problem is, each time I reboot, the resizing is undone and not all the icons are visible so I have to redo this each time. Any idea why XP is not preserving the settings?

Is explorer.exe crashing every time you shutdown? That's the only reason I can see for this error. If Explorer crashes, then it looses all changes you made, such as stuff to the Quick Launch bar. You may want to see if there is a specific program that is causing explorer to crash and try disabling it.
