Help with Black & White

When I try to run the game, some windows screen called LIONHEAD tries to open then tries decides to close and sometimes when I start it it says Im running an illegal operation with page faults and all that. After the installation I tried to go to the setup for Black & White it also says Im running an illegal operation :(. Please help you guys. Here's my specs:

Processor: Intel Pentium 2 Processor
Processor Speed: 300 mhz
Operating system: Windows 98
Video Card: ATI 3D RAGE PRO
Sound Card:ES1869 Direct SOund Driver

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling B&W? Try to close other running programs while you're installing the game.

A complete scandisk/defrag wouldn't hurt before reinstallation. And if you still continue to get invalid page faults, let us know which "module" or program it's having that error... Post back on your progress...

you should try deleting all the files in windows/temp, when the copy protection is busy, it copies a file there and when it gets messed up, the game wont start anymore.

all those files are temporary and it wont matter if you delete any of them. if windows says one of the files is in use, just skip it and continue deleting the rest

Ok I defragged and did scan disk on the comp. Black and White STILL wont start and I get the same message if I want to go to the setup for it. Here's the page faults for the setup: SETUP caused an invalid page fault in

I played that game for a while. I had that problem when I first installed it.
I reinstalled the game, and it worked fine.
I also noticed that you're running a 300mhz processor. You might consider upgrading that, because B&W has some pretty amazing graphics, so it might want a little more speed.
