hi all,
i was just wondering if it were possible to find and retrieve any of the race-specific maps.
i.e: the maps that you play when you select a campaign (terren, zerg or protoss)
ive serched through the entire starcraft editor for them and came up w/zilch.

id just like to see how they put those maps together cuz im into that sort of thing. i build my own levels all the time, but they are nowere near as good as those ones.

They may not be located on the hard drive ... have you tried looking for them on your Starcraft CD?

The reason you can't find them is because you go to C:, then go to program files, then to starcraft

Most of the [race spacific] campaing maps are hard coded into the .mpq files that starcraft gets all of its information from.

A program called mpqdraft I cant remember where to download it. But it is able to decode .mpq files.
