After installation of the game, I run it and the screen goes black, and freezes. After fiddling with task manager I saw it displayed an error: "Engine requires a Video card with Pixel Shader 1.1 or greater".
Specs are:
thisprocessor= Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.80GHz
thisaccel=GeForce4 MX 420/AGP/SSE2
directxversion=9.0 b
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need a better video card. The GE4 MX card obviously doesn't have pixel shading so you can't run the game.

Well wasn't that insightful! Because I say it won't recognize it, it must be outdated right?
Somebody who knows the Diagnostic tool for Pixel Shader apply to this thread, plzkthx. I can't remember the extension for it.

If your computer is a 1.8HGz and you are using a GF4 MX card the demo is going to run horribly if you manage to pull it off anyway. How much RAM do you have btw.
MX CARDS ARE NOT SUPPORTED AND CANNOT RUN Deus Ex 2. I just checked the back of my brothers DE2 box.
