Ok, I bought a copy of Need For Speed II SE for the PC on ebay. It installs on Windows 2000 and plays great. I love this game. But for some damned reason, I cannot get a network game up so that the other 2000 machines in my basement can see it. Does anyone have a suggestion on a fix? I have TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and even NetBUI installed on all of the machines. The hub works fine because we share the internet through one of the machines.

hope someone has some pointers.

Dunno...it's a great game. One of the best racing games i've played.

After reading the earlier topics on GT3 and playing it for myself today, i'm heavily disappointed. The cars are mindless, traveling in straight lines like AK 47 said. The crashes are unrealistic. I was so bored I decided to try and turn around and go backwards. After hitting a car head on going around 140 (which does indeed feel like 20) and I was bumped out of the way I decided to call it quits.

It's old, so it's not designed to run on Windows 2000. Have you checked the Need For Speed site for any updates?

Maybe someone else has some suggestions...

yeah, i checked, no updates for the game. i didnt expect anyone to have a solution since it is a old game. I just figured since it RAN on windows 2000 i would be able to play a network game.
