Internet Explorer 6.0

I get an error message "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvience." When I click on details it says "iexplore.exe app ver: 6.0.2800.1106 mod ver 0.0.00 Offset: 11c073a6.

I would appreciate any assistance, I can not find this exact information on MS Support site.

restrart you pc if it continues rerun the setup program and choose the repair option

...and if b00tz3xor's solution doesn't work, go to http://www.microsoft.com and re-download IE 6, then go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all service packs and updates it detects that you need.

Thanks for your reply Shalome, I am up to date on all updates and service packs. I may try re-installing IE6 if nothing works. If I re-install IE6, should I remove the first installing? Thanks!

yes. make sure you have a second browser that is functional first. then download the ie SETUP files to your desktop or other convenient places. you should then uninstall ie.

Hi b00TZ3XOR, I will try your suggestion also. I also get another IE message similiar except with a "Restart check box" and a "Close button" with no other information. This one doesn't really do anything if I move it out of the way and continue my work.
