trouble shooting

I have recenly installed the Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The scree freezes in less than 10 seconds upon startup. I have an Athlon Xp process on an ASUS motherboard with VIA KM400 series card. The operating system is wondows 98SE. Under safe mode it says 'cannot load openGL subsystem". have downloaded the latest driver VIA/S3G. still the problem persists. Can someone offer help, please on what I should do? Thanks

Thanks. I have downloaded the latest driver from VIA website. The problem still persists. Anything else to be done?
