Read/Write CD Drive Install/Troubleshooting

I was given a Sony CRX160E Read/Write Drive by a friend and no one seems to have a simple hardware/driver installation procedure. He upgraded his, but can't seem to locate the necessary software. I think I have it hooked up right - it'll play audio CDs, but my computer doesn't see it as a writable drive. Online help seems to get "messy". What to do, what to do (Lions and Tigers and Bears ....)?

Same problem, mine crashed, rebuilt, can't fine the cd or disk to install, plays but I can't make a backup cd.

If you find the software, let me know
