Internet freezes

Every 1minute or so when im surfing the web it freezes for a minute or 2 then goes back to normal and keeps repeating this process.. ive been dealing with this for about a year now and im about to break my computer.. please help

I have windows 98SE
Linksys WUSB11
Internet explorer 6
Cable

ive cleaned out everything with ad aware spybot i even have norton anti virus and nothing helps

One thing that can cause a lot of temporary freezing when you're surfing the internet is adware and spyware. This stuff installs itself on your computer without your knowledge.

Go to http://security.kolla.de and download Spybot Search & Destroy, install it, get all the updates for it, and then run it. Let it fix whatever problems it finds, then use the "Immunize" function to help keep spyware from downloading itself.

You may be surprised at how much of this stuff has made its way onto your computer.
