Dear friends,

since yesterday when I created and burned my first dvd on a pentium II wiht nero 6 and saved both my proyect and created TS folders in another folder in "my documents", each time I need to browse for a picture on any other file in "my documents" automatically appears a black and blank window called "active movie window" and then, inmediately, the tipical XP error window saying that "explorer.exe has detected and error it will be shut down". The same happens with any other application (powerpoint, publixher, etc...) the moment I try to insert someting from my documents but this time what will be shut down is the application itself.

Is there anyone who can kindly help me to solve this mess?

Thousand thanks in advance. :)

I have the same problem. I have done no DVD burning, but I have watched a few recently on my comp. PowerDVD kept crashing so I installed BlazeDVD and it seems to work fine. Every time I try to access folders in My Documents the same black window pops up (active movie window) and then it crashes with the usual error reporting screen popping up. I cannot navigate to my My Documents folder in Explorer without this happening. I can open the files within the My Documents folder in Image preview or WMP9, etc.

If anyone has any info I would appreciate it greatly. I have run virus scans and a bunch of utilities with nothing popping up. I am running XP Home on a fairly new computer/new install. I don't understand this at all. Thanks in advance, Chicho.

Got it - Blaze DVD was causing the problem for me. Uninstalled, restarted... voila.
