Crashes

Having frequent trouble with 3D games crashing, win32k.sys crashes, ntfs.sys crashes, and kernel crashes. Been desperatly trying to find a solution.

System configuration is as follows:
P4 1.5GHz
Intel D845WN mobo
1 GIG 133MHz Ram (memtest86 checks good)
Bios Update 5/25/03 (latest)
500W PSU
PNY GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128 Megs
Windows 2000
C: 40 Gigs - New
D: 160 Gigs - New
Memorex CD-402E CD-Rom
Soundblaster Audigy

ACPI Enabled, No IRQ conflicts

Running latest drivers on everything.

System is fairly stable during regular use (though the odd win32k.sys crash does happen). But...as far as 3D games go...it's pure hell. Some..will run good, but most...will just either dump to the desktop randomly (anywhere between 5 minutes to 1 hour) or even bluescreen.

I've reinstalled the OS a dozen times...no luck. Symptoms occur on a freshly installed OS from day one. I've already replaced the video card as well, had the same problems with my prior card (GeForce3 Ti 500).

Anyone have any ideas?

try underclocking your mobo and see if stability helps.

thanks for your response..though unfortunately there don't seem to be any ways to adjust the clocking of this mobo at all. :( There are no jumpers and virtually no bios options other than the really basic stuff.

I'd remove one of your 512 MB sticks of RAM, then test individually.
