I am currently connecting via another computer using Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing. That computer connects to the internet using an ISDN line. I can connect to BattleNET and chat, but when I search for a game nothing happens even if I wait really long. If I click on custom game there are no games listed even if I know someone has created a game. I suspect that either the XP firewall of the gateway computer is dropping these packets (UDP or TCP) or the PC-Cillin virus program's firewall is responsible. If you can help me in any way I would appreciate it.

I don't know if you've thought of this already, but I think it would be a good idea to plug the computer you're playing on directly into your ISDN line (no connection sharing). If you don't have any problems while playing Warcraft III with a direct connection, then you know the problem lies with the connection sharing. If you still have problems, then something else is to blame.

Have you tried disabling the PC-Cillin and/or Windows XP firewalls while playing? If you're sharing the connection with Internet connection-sharing software and you're running software NAT, it should be okay to disable those firewalls. If you're going to test a direct connection, definitely keep one of them enabled.

Thanks for your advice. I mananged to get it working by adding service definitions on the computer that connects directly to the internet. Apparantly ports 6112-6119 (UDP and TCP) is used by Warcraft 3 to send packets. These service definitions now allow these types of packets on these ports in both directions if they come from my IP address.
