From this computer, I can connect to the other one and basically work like an administrator, but from the other one it's different. Both are running Win2k Pro and they used to be able to connect well before. I am running rather unofficially through a hub then into the other comp(the dsl is connected to the hub). So, maybe thats it...but it worked before. I have no idea what to do.
The error goes like this:
Logon Failure: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.

Do both computers have passwords setup for the user accounts? If not, then you won't be able to connect over any network, even a LAN.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Both of them have accounts as administrators in the other computer.

Yeah, but do you need a password to get into that account, or when you start up the computer does it just go straight to the desktop?

The one which can't connect to this computer through the account made has a password(so does this one I think if I remember correctly). Each one needs a logon to get to the other.

The computer that you're trying to connect to must have a password set. So that would be (i'm assuming) the one that you're on now.
If that's still not working, make sure that permissions are correctly setup for whatever folder you're trying to share across your network.

Both computers have permissions set correctly etc. As I said, it worked perfectly until a couple of months ago. That's why I'm confused. I'm thinking of just formatting the other one.
