sims shrinker.ERR?

When i try to install the sims it opens a window titled sims shrinker.ERR and says " install.Exe: Dispatcher initislisation error 11"
is there a way i can fix this??

You wouldnt happen to be trying to install a pirated copy of the game, would you?
