Okay, here's the deal: I used to have Diablo II installed, way back in the day. I kept all the characters in a separate file so that I would have them as backup through various reformats, etc.
Well, now I have my system back up and running, upgraded to LOD (after putting all my character files in the Save directory, and even patching up to the version I was playing with in Diablo II --1.09) and none of my characters are showing up.
Any suggestions? Is there a separate conversion program/cheat/hack I can use to get my characters to work with LOD? Are they lost for good?
I had a really sweet necromancer that I'm going to miss if I can't get him back....*sigh*
