THE MOUSE POINTER ARROW HAS STARTED BEHAVING VERY UNSTABLE, JUMPING ABOUT AS IF SOMEONE ELSE IS CONTROLLING IT. IS THERE A SOLUTION TO THIS?

That happens to me as well.
Every once in a while my cursor moves up and then in circles very fast.
(example: If I am playing a shooter game I'll end up looking at the sky and spinning in place for about 3 seconds)
