I am having a major problem in resolving an issue with OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6. My OS is WIN XP PRO. The following issue is happening:
1. I launch Outlook Express, it is set to automatically download my email... I get my mail.
2. When I go to either reply or to create a new email I get: "There was an error opening this page"
3. When I click on the Address Book on the tool bar I get: "Unable to open the address bok. The address bok may not be installed properly.
I am going on my 3rd day in trying to resolve this. On this forum I saw a fix that had the user at the command prompt type in "sfc /scannow" and then drop in the XP Pro CD. I tried this...zippo. Didn't resolve anything.
I also tried searching for any *.WAB files and removing the read-Only attribute. This also didn't work. Then I also saw a supposed fix to rename the *.WAB file to "OLD" and then restart Outlook Express...this also was unsuccessful.
So, I am basically at the end of my rope here folks and I truly need some guidance here. If anyone can help...I am all ears.
Thanks in advance.
