wqhen iam done installing diablo 2 i get an error that says error 22 cannot read DirectDraw, and i have windows XP u think thats the prob,

Windows XP itself isn't the problem; most likely your video card drivers are outdated or you simply don't have the correct drivers installed.

What kind of video card do you have?
